Ovarian cancer is frequent in women aged over 50 which can be increased by risk factors such well known smoking. Despite it medical conditions can contribute for the appearance of this particular type of cancer such endometriosis and diabetes.
As many other cancer, there is a big concern as many times the diagnosis only appears at a later stage and unfortunately late for receiving adequate treatment.
According to doctors, patients usually do not report or acknowledge significant symptoms. The advice from medical class is to contact GP in case signs of pain in pelvis, back or lower abdomen, bloating, fatigue constant, urinary disturbance, loss of appetite, abnormal vaginal bleeding, swelling or a lump seems to be persistent.
